You’ll also find “Why Choose Our Course” sections that explain what makes each qualification valuable for your career, how it relates to DEFRA licensing requirements, and what practical skills you’ll gain. For courses that include assessment, we’ve outlined exactly what’s involved so there are no surprises.
We’ve also added “Frequently Bought Together” suggestions on course pages, showing you which courses complement each other. If you’re already enrolled on a Level 3 qualification, you might see a recommendation for our First Aid for Dogs course or our Licensing Guidance service, helping you build a complete professional profile without having to search for related courses yourself.
A Comprehensive FAQ System
Finding answers to your questions has never been easier. We’ve built a comprehensive FAQ section that covers everything from how our courses work and what qualifications you’ll receive, to council licensing requirements, DEFRA regulations, and how to prepare for inspections.
The FAQ system includes category filtering and a real-time search function, so you can type a question and instantly see relevant answers. Whether you’re wondering about study timelines, assessment formats, payment options, or how our qualifications relate to the Higher Standard under the Animal Welfare Regulations, the answers are right there. This is something we are going to build out also.
Each FAQ answer has been written by our team of experienced dog care professionals and is kept up to date as regulations and requirements change. We’ve also integrated FAQ content into multiple individual course pages, so questions specific to a particular qualification appear right where you need them.
Licensing Guidance Services: Now Available to Purchase
This is one we’re particularly proud of. Our Licensing Guidance services are now available as standalone purchases on the website.
If you’re applying for a council licence to operate a dog care business, whether that’s home boarding, commercial day care, kennels boarding or dog breeding, the licensing process can feel overwhelming. Each council interprets the regulations slightly differently, and knowing exactly what’s expected of you before an inspection can make the difference between a smooth approval and a stressful back-and-forth.
Our Licensing Guidance services are designed to walk you through the specific requirements for your activity type. They cover what councils are looking for, how to prepare your premises or working practices, what documentation you need, and how to demonstrate compliance with the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) (England) Regulations 2018.
