Canine Behaviour for Professionals

Course Summary

This course aims to concentrate on the areas that are important for professionals when working with dogs – how to assess behaviour, manage dogs in a day-to-day setting, identify fear, stress and aggression, introduce a dog to a group, carry out enrichment, care for young dogs and also identify the records you must keep in order to fulfil the licensing requirements relating to behaviour

Throughout your studies, you will have access to guidance and feedback from your tutor via the online learning platform.

We feel passionately that people working with dogs should have a knowledge of behaviour that helps protect them and ensure that the welfare of the dogs is paramount. Kate (the course writer) has a Master’s Degree in Animal Behaviour but has developed this course through years of practical experience with dogs – making mistakes and learning from them! It is a combination of theory and practical advice that will help any dog walker, day carer or home boarder. “
