Canine Behaviour for Professionals

Canine Behaviour for Professionals

This course is a bespoke course tailored for canine professionals by the Dog Business School with a certificate of successful achievement.

Course Summary

This course aims to concentrate on the areas that are important for professionals when working with dogs – how to assess behaviour, manage dogs in a day-to-day setting, identify fear, stress and aggression, introduce a dog to a group, carry out enrichment, care for young dogs and also identify the records you must keep in order to fulfil the licensing requirements relating to behaviour

Throughout your studies, you will have access to guidance and feedback from your tutor via the online learning platform.

We feel passionately that people working with dogs should have a knowledge of behaviour that helps protect them and ensure that the welfare of the dogs is paramount. Kate (the course writer) has a Master’s Degree in Animal Behaviour but has developed this course through years of practical experience with dogs – making mistakes and learning from them! It is a combination of theory and practical advice that will help any dog walker, day carer or home boarder. “

Yes.

You have access to an online tutor and a range of blended media and in-course exercises.

You need access to half decent Internet and email. The course is a blend of different learning content and styles. We recommend you ideally study using a desktop, laptop or tablet. A mobile will work but the experience isn’t exactly wonderful.

How long do I have to complete my course?

We recognise that some people are in full time employment with busy family lives and preparing for a new future.

Others are very likely already dog professionals who have dog needs and customer demands to meet, before they wash off all the mud, do the household stuff, put their feet up and start thinking about studying.

We give you 6 months access to the course content.
